U.S. WOMEN'S SOCCER. Like
every major city run by corrupt
grifters, so has gone the U.S.
Olympic Committee. A classic example
of a weak-kneed, dimwitted hierarchy
wrecking a once-proud organization.
Allowing top players to publicly
bite the hand that feeds them isn't
appropriate; there are ways to
register complaints behind the
scenes. In fairness, everyone knew
that removing the amateur
designation from the Olympics would
lead to complaints, disruption, and
incessant greed. And so it has.
